MASTERING THE NAVY SHOWER

1 GALLON OF WATER = 8 POUNDS X 1000s OF GALLONS A YEAR = EFFICIENT USE OF WATER + DECREASED UNLOADING (IF YOU KNOW WHAT WE MEAN)

Yes, there’s nothing glamorous about the Navy Shower method. Water in the back country (or off-grid) is prized and metered resource. Note: when HOT even better! We are fortunate to have a standup shower but can only carry 50 gallons of fresh/potable water. Therefore the need for this showering method.

It’s amazing to think how much water is used to take a continuous 20 minute shower. Hmmm.

Richelle and I were forced to get personal (on a daily basis) with our utilities, resources, food, and more. A great eye opener for a easy habit changes that keep us off-grid longer and makes us better stewards of our resources.
